Holiday in the Park
Mark your calendars for our annual Holiday in the Park! This annual event will feature live music, free kids activities, and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. It's a great opportunity to connect with the community and get outside during Seattle's colder months. Further details will be announced in the fall.
Volunteer Park Conservatory – Family Saturday
Share this indoor oasis with your kids! Free youth* admission to the Conservatory with the purchase of accompanying adult admission.
Occurs 1st Saturday, Monthly
*Youth indicates children aged 12 and under.
2nd Saturday Work Party
Join your friends and neighbors as we weed and clean the garden beds in Volunteer Park to keep it beautiful for everyone. This is a great event for kids and families.
Meet us at the Black Sun Sculpture across from Seattle Asian Art Museum at 10:00 AM on Saturday. If you arrive late, look for our green signboard telling you where in the park we will be working.
We will provide the gloves and tools.

Join us for a zoom orientation on the various ways you can get involved with Volunteer Park Trust! Hear from members of our committees and learn about how you can get involved for 2026!
Katherine Van Bebber at Volunteer Park Conservatory
Step into the glasshouse at noon for a live set by Katherine Van Bebber—a Seattle singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer blending R&B vocals with strings-inspired arrangements. This intimate concert is designed for the Conservatory’s natural acoustics: layered harmonies, raw storytelling, and a few special covers. Open to everyone and free with Conservatory admission.
SAM Performs: Spinning Stories
Join us for a laid-back day of music, creativity, and community as we celebrate Asian American voices and stories. Groove out to SEAVinyl's smooth beats and feel-good tunes or bring a book to exchange with our friends from the Seattle Chinatown Bookclub. Explore the themes and ideas in Anila Quayyum Agha: Geometry of Light through a drop-in art workshop, or just come to soak up the vibes and meet new people!

Diwali Family Festival
Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights at the Seattle Asian Art Museum from 11-2 pm! Experience storytelling, live music, and enjoy dazzling fashion and cultural performances presented by Junior Asha Seattle! Get creative with hands-on art making with Deepti Agrawal. Immerse your family in all the surprises this beloved celebration of light, creativity, and community brings!
Fall Restoration Day
Join your friends and neighbors for our annual Fall Restoration Day as we weed and clean the garden beds in Volunteer Park to keep it beautiful for everyone. This is a great event for kids and families. Further details about the project and location in the park will be updated here in the fall.

Halloween Pet Parade
Join us for the Halloween Pet Parade in Volunteer Park! We are excited to see the clever costumes and adorable animals. This delightful FREE parade and costume competition will feature pets in costumes, food trucks, prizes, and vendor booths.

SAM Performs: K-Pop Random Play Dance
Join us for a vibrant celebration of movement, music, and community! Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just here to watch your favorite viral dances, this event brings the joy and creativity of Hallyu straight to the museum’s door. With our partners Battalion Entertainment we’ll turn the museum into our own pop-powered dance floor!
12-12:30 pm | Dance Performance
Cheer on dance cover groups from all across Seattle during their high-energy dance performances that will feature dance covers from our favorite girl groups!
12:30-2 pm | Random Play Dance
Facilitated by Battalion Entertainment, dancers of all levels and abilities are welcome to join in and dance along to viral K-Pop choreo!

Community Fire Jams offer an opportunity for fire spinners of all skill levels to practice and play with fire in a safe and supportive environment. Not feeling up to spinning fire yourself? Come watch or play with LED or day props outside the fire circle!
Jaipur Literature Festival Seattle Opening Night
The Seattle Asian Art Museum is pleased to kick off the Jaipur Literature Festival.
Join us for an evening with John Vaillant for a discussion of his recent work, including Fire Weather: On the Front Lines of a Burning World, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the US National Book Award, the winner of Britain's Baillie Gifford Prize and Canada's Shaughnessy-Cohen Prize, and was one of the New York Times’ ten best books of 2023. Vaillant's work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and National Geographic.

Cascade Cactus and Succulent Society Plant Sale
Saturday August 16, 2025, 10am – 3pm & Sunday August 17, 2025, 10am – 2pm
Shop the 2025 Plant Sale, a fundraiser for the Cascade Cactus and Succulent Society of WA.
Join us for two days of plant shopping fun! CCSS members will provide a wide variety of rare and interesting cacti, succulents, and other unique plants and accessories for sale to the public.
CCSS members will also display some of their more interesting varieties in a showcase to view and learn about.
Members will be available to chat and answer your questions. Come by, make new friends, and help support a great organization!
