  • While we work closely with Seattle Parks and Recreation to preserve, activate, and create engagement with the park we are not responsible for routine maintenance or park issues that require immediate attention. The best course of action is to put in a report with the city via the Find It, Fix It app, and for immediate security concerns contact the Seattle Police Department via 911.

  • Yes, the most regularly available restrooms are in the shelter house just east of the Conservatory (brick building connected by a breezeway). During special events (those utilizing a city Special Events permit), three additional single-user restrooms are available at the Amphitheater, located south of the stage. 

  • Yes, there are four ADA accessible parking stalls available in Volunteer Park in front of the Seattle Asian Art Museum and the Black Sun Sculpture. There are two more Handicap stalls in front of the Volunteer Park Conservatory.

  • We update our events calendar regularly with information on events in and around the park. You can also subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media to get the latest updates on what we’re planning next!

  • Yes, we’re a volunteer-led organization and we’re always looking for new friends and neighbors who are interested in helping us meet our mission. From landscaping days to serving on a committee to helping at our Summer Series, there are lots of ways to get involved! Find out more on our Volunteer page.

  • We’re always looking for new members to join our committees. We have a Landscape Committee, Events Committee, Development Committee, Marketing Committee, and Capital Projects Committee alongside our main leadership Steering Committee and Advisory Committee groups. Submit the volunteer interest form and share what you’re interested in the comment box and we’ll get you connected.

  • We’re always happy to share events that happen in Volunteer Park for our friends and neighbors to enjoy. Email info@volunteerparktrust.org and share information about your event and we’ll see if we can include it!

  • Yes, depending on what it is! We love to work with corporate sponsors or individual donors for our events and volunteer activities in the park. Reach out via email (info@volunteerparktrust.org) and share what you would like to donate to see if it’s a fit for our needs!

  • Every second Saturday, rain or shine, we meet in the park to work on a landscaping project. These events are from 10am-12pm and tools and gloves are provided. This is a great way to get involved with VPT and get to be part of transforming an area of the park. RSVPs aren’t necessary, but are helpful for project planning.   • We open up our call once per year for talent of all kinds to submit for the series. This typically happens in late winter/early spring and the best way to find out about it is to subscribe to our newsletter.

  • While Volunteer Park Trust raised the funds and managed construction of the new Amphitheater, the city now owns the facility and manages it through the Parks & Recreation department. You can find general information regarding permits and reservations here.
